“It has got to be one of the best ‘taster’ experiences I’ve had — and I’ve been on a few! From the moment you arrive, you’re fully involved. Jonathan explains how you’ll use every part of his beautiful studio and somehow teaches you his craft without it even feeling like a lesson. By the end, you’ve crafted something truly unique. Highly recommended to anyone with even the slightest interest!”

Overview
This fast-paced, hands-on session is the perfect introduction to the world of hot glass. With just two participants per class, you’ll receive personal guidance from master glassmaker Jonathan Rogers, who brings over 30 years of experience to the bench.
Across three hours, you’ll watch a live demonstration, then take turns at the bench learning how to gather molten glass from the furnace, shape it with traditional tools, add colour, and blow it into form. Most guests make one finished piece — a colourful tumbler, paperweight, or bauble — completely unique and made by you.
What You’ll Do
- Watch a live demonstration of the core techniques
- Choose your own colours and design approach
- Gather molten glass from the furnace
- Shape, blow, and finish your own piece with hands-on support

What You’ll Make
